I LOVE this book!!!
So...since baby can hear us and is learning our voices, Jim and I decided to start reading to baby, and we chose The Boxcar Children to start this fun journey! It has short chapters and is a heartwarming story about family and love. Jim or I read a chapter or two each evening. It doesn't take long, and gives us a nice break from all the other things we have going on (law school, work, chores, etc.). I think this book is especially perfect for our baby since he/she will have a father very much like Henry, the oldest brother...resourceful and caring, creative and hardworking....all qualities I admire in Jim and pray for for our child. Whether yound or old, I think everyone can enjoy this wonderful story!!! It's a really good place to start, and a story that can remind us all of the adventure, excitement, and love that we all have!

ReplyDeleteAnother one that is a WONDERFUL read is The Little House on the Prairie--Laura Ingalls Wilder :) Loved those growing up
